SUNESTA FIRST PLACE PHOTO WINNER
National Sunesta Dealer Meeting 2017
Our whole staff was at a Hunter Douglas Window Coverings Training opportunity with interior Designers and Window covering Professionals from all over New England.
Brian, one of our team leaders, ran into a Designer he had met before at Cranmore Mountain as snowboarding instructor.
Universal Designz from Harrison Maine.
As they chatted, he told her of our work with Sunesta Awnings.
Weeks later, Lynne asked if we might meet with one of her clients to discuss shading options for their large deck in Center Conway.
Wow! What a beautifully appointed house, nicely done.
Their’s was a unique situation, with a wall of glass facing a beautiful view of the white mountains to the west and brilliant sun baking the deck and the house.
We would need an Awning with a small footprint to fit in a narrow space between upper windows and sliding doors below. It also needed to span 20 feet and project 13”. Colors of frame and fabric needed to match, and the biggest concern was that the deck faced west. The setting sun would shine underneath the awning as the evening progressed, during barbecue and beverage time on the deck hour.
The Sunstyle with Cassette proved to be an excellent choice, as it nests nicely in the space provided and provides full coverage of the deck with the fall bar extending out over the rail.
They easily chose colors to match the house and trim, and we added a retractable drop screen at the outer edge that rolls down for extra shade as needed in the later afternoon while still preserving the wonderful view.
A manual over ride motor allows for retraction manually in the event of power loss when the awning is out, and a sensor is set to bring the awning in during heavy winds.
As we finished the installation late one afternoon on one of the last warm days of early November, Brian hurriedly snapped photos with his cell phone.
We submitted this picture in a national photo contest, and It won first place of all Sunesta dealers at our annual dealer meeting in Ponte Vedra Florida last January!
Thank you Lynne, Brian and Sunesta.
Here is the backstory of another installation we did on a commercial leather shop we in North Conway, NH
